about

A Teetering Vulture
A Teetering Vulture is a newsletter written by me, Taylor. It's a place for me to store and share thoughts about my life and about science topics that catch my attention.
The newsletter title references the tilting way that turkey vultures soar. From my perspective, these social birds of prey tend to act unperturbed in an elegant, peaceful way. This is somehow regardless of life’s intrinsic perturbing, inelegant, un-peaceful realities. Despite being eaters of pavement death, I consider them cool, a little bit relatable even. And very vital to a great many North and South American ecosystems.
me
I am a queer internet inhabitant. I am twenty-six. The vagabond crambus is my favorite moth. The best hours of the day, in my opinion, are the crepuscular ones.
Please note that this newsletter is written and edited solely by me, a single fallible human being. I always attribute credit to all materials used in my writing that were not created by me, and cite all scientific information discussed in each article. I strive to use reliable, primarily peer-reviewed sources written by experts. It is my priority to correct inaccuracies promptly and transparently.
